Akkord awarded 8th “Caspian Energy Integration Award – 2012”
Baku, March 20 (AZERTAC). Akkord Industry-Construction Investment Corporation OJSC was awarded the 8th “Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2012” prize.
The 0presentation ceremony was held at Park Inn hotel in Baku on March 19.
This prize is awarded to companies and organizations which take an active part in production and social spheres of their countries as well as expand their business dynamically at global markets.
Caspian Energy International Media Group is a general partner of the ceremony. Akkord Construction-Industry Investment Corporation OJSC and SOCAR-AQS LLC were the partners of the event.
Opening “Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2012” prize awarding ceremony Telman Aliyev, President and CEO of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC), expressed gratitude on behalf of CEIBC member-companies and numerous readers of Caspian Energy International Media Group publications to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Honorary Chairman of CEIBC for supporting the activity of CEIBC and Caspian Energy International Media Group.
“International and elite Caspian Energy Integration Award prize is awarded on basis of the results of the poll that Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) conducts in 50 countries worldwide among top- and medium managers of 500 companies operating in the Black Sea and Baltic regions (members of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club and Readership of Caspian Energy International Media Group publications)”, Telman Aliyev noted.
He added the Club started operating as a regional organization in 2002 and became an influential international organization. “CEIBC has been celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and presentation of Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2012 prize comes first in the list of activities that the Club conducts on the occasion of its jubilee.”
Presenting the 70th jubilee issue of the Caspian Energy journal that is published in two languages and spread in over 50 countries worldwide Aliyev expressed gratitude to President of Romania Traian Basescu for giving an exclusive interview to Caspian Energy journal and supporting the publication of this issue. He also noted that Caspian Energy is the only media-brand in Azerbaijan and Caspian region registered in 50 countries worldwide. He thanked partners, especially Akkord Construction-Industry Investment Corporation OJSC and its General Director Khagani Guluzade, SOCAR AQS LLC and its General Director Ramin Isayev.
CEIBC President noted that similar activities are held Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Europe.
Elmir Velizade, Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, stressed the importance of conduction “Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2012” ceremony. He noted there were companies representing different sectors of economy including ICT sector among nominees. “It is very important for Azerbaijan because ICT development is one of the priority directions of development of Azerbaijan`s economy.”
Velizade noted President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on Creation of the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies under the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies. According to him, these measures aim at promoting production activity of information technologies as well as drawing local and foreign investments into this sphere. “All of these measures aim at future of Azerbaijan and Your each success is considered success of economy and our citizens”, Elmir Velizade said.
Shirin Shirinov, Deputy Director of the Department for Industry and Energy of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, noted “today`s ceremony aims at promotion of Azerbaijani companies internationally”. Having congratulated all nominees of the “Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2012” prize he expressed hope that all winners would maintain a higher rank defined by this prize and CEIBC.
During the ceremony Jolt Chutora, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Azerbaijan spoke about the role of the Club in development of relations between the companies of the Caspian region and European Union countries.
