Azerbaijan Milli Majlis Speaker meets Deputy Chairman of Georgian parliament
Baku, January 19 (AZERTAC). Speaker of Azerbaijan Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov has met deputy chairman of the Georgian parliament, chief of Georgia-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group, Fridon Todua.
Asadov said legislative basis created between Azerbaijan and Georgia contributes to expansion of bilateral cooperation. He noted major projects realized by Azerbaijan and Georgia in the region would increase trade turnover between the two countries.
The Speaker underlined the role of inter-parliamentary ties in boosting bilateral relationship. He also praised the cooperation between the two countries` parliamentarians within international organizations.
For his part, Todua described the meetings he held in Baku during his second visit as “fruitful”. He also praised the ongoing development processes in all spheres in Azerbaijan. Todua expressed confidence that Azerbaijan-Georgia relations would continue to develop.
