Azerbaijani ambassador to Japan visits Kyodo News Agency
Baku, October 17 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Japan Gursel Ismayilzade has visited the Kyodo News Agency.
During a meeting with the Agency`s executive director, Yoshida Shigeyuki the talks focused on relationship between Azerbaijan and Japan.
They said Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) and Japan`s Kyodo News Agency had close cooperation.
Shigeyuki said AZERTAC and Kyodo had special role in comprehensive development of Azerbaijan-Japan relationship. He noted the opening of AZERTAC`s bureau in Japan would have positive impact on exchange of news.
Ambassador Ismayilzade, in turn, said Azerbaijan is interested in development of relationship with Japan where media is developing rapidly.
The diplomat noted his country was willing to cooperate with Japan in energy sphere. Ismayilzade added he was making efforts to attract Japanese companies to Azerbaijan and establish joint enterprises.
The ambassador said a meeting of the Azerbaijan-Japan Joint Economic Commission to be held next month would focus on the operations of Japanese companies in Azerbaijan.
The diplomat also spoke of the cooperation in the framework of “GUAM+Japan” format.
Ismayilzade also became acquainted with the workflow in several departments of the Agency.
