AZERBAIJANI DIASPORA EXPANDS ACTIVITY IN TURKEY
Azerbaijani Diaspora has considerably expanded its activity in various cities and towns of Turkey. According to the State Committee on Working with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad, its officers have done a lot of work towards establishment of new divisions in the cities of Izmir, Manis, and Istanbul. During the meetings held in Izmir, it was decided to establish “Azerbaijani House” or Diaspora Center to be named in the future as “Azerbaijan Cultur Merkezi”. To this end, an organizational committee has been formed, and the by-law of the new structure is now being drawn up in compliance with the Turkey’s laws.
During the meetings in Istanbul, it was decided to establish Istanbul – Azerbaijan House, as well.
