AZERBAIJANI MINISTER OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS MEETS HEAD OF TURKISH GENDARMERIE COMMAND
Baku, May 27 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov today has met with the head of Turkish Gendarmerie Command, colonel-general Mustafa Biyik.
Usubov praised “high-level” relationship between the two “fraternal” nations, highlighting national leader Heydar Aliyev`s contribution to development of bilateral ties. The minister said “one nation, two countries” policy is being “successfully” carried out by President Ilham Aliyev.
He said after intergovernmental protocol on cooperation was signed between Turkish Gendarmerie Command and Azerbaijan`s Internal Troops, relationship has further developed in this field.
The Azerbaijani minister said the visit by head of Turkish Gendarmerie Command would contribute to further expanding cooperation between armed forces of the two nations.
Colonel-general Biyik said his country is ready to support Azerbaijan in all areas, in particular the military. He stated Turkey would spare no efforts to help Azerbaijan to develop its interior troops.
