AZERBAIJANI PARLIAMENT PASSES MILITARY DOCTRINE
Baku, June 9 (AZERTAC). A special session of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan (parliament) discussed and adopted a military doctrine of Azerbaijan.
Speaking to the session, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament and chairman of the defense committee Ziyafet Asgarov said the doctrine was prepared in accordance with the national security conception and on the basis of the Head of State`s instructions.
According to him, the doctrine deals with foundations of a military system in not only the military but also political, economic, humanitarian fields.
The doctrine highlighted Armenia as an occupant. The document featured major areas and principles of Azerbaijan`s international cooperation. Asgarov noted the doctrine is “defensive”.
The Parliament also passed a law “On servicing in emergency situations bodies”
