AZERBAIJANI PRESIDENT OFFERS INDEPENDENCE DAY GREETINGS TO GEORGIAN COUNTERPART
Baku, May 25 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulations to President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili on the eve of his country`s Independence Day.
“Relations between our nations are based on historically friendly and good neighborhood traditions. We are pleased with the development of our intergovernmental relations - which have strong foundations and are based on mutual trust and support - and the continuous expansion of our cooperation, which has reached the level of strategic partnership,” the Azerbaijani leader said in his message.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the two countries would continue joint efforts to strengthen their relations and cooperation.
The Azerbaijani leader also wished the Georgian counterpart “robust health and successes” in his activities and “the friendly people” of Georgia peace and prosperity.
