Azerbaijan`s top diplomat meets Iraqi parliamentary delegation
Baku, January 18 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov met Wednesday an Iraqi delegation headed by chief of the Council of Representatives` Committee on Foreign Relations, Humam Hamoody.
Mammadyarov said relationship between Azerbaijan and Iraq was developing successfully. He also praised the expansion of political dialogue between the two countries. The Minister underscored the role of parliamentary diplomacy in development of relations between Azerbaijan and Iraq.
Mammadyarov also expressed confidence that the Iraqi parliamentary delegation`s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to boosting bilateral ties.
The discussions in the meeting focused on Iraq`s economic situation, development of relationship between the two countries, cooperation within international organizations and other issues of mutual interest.
