AZERI GRANDMASTERS WIN RIVALS IN AEROFLOT OPEN TOURNAMENT 2009

Baku. February 19 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani grandmasters Shahriyar Mammdyarov and Eltaj Safarli have beaten Russian Nikolai Chadaev and Israeli Maxim Rodshtein respectively in the second round of an international Aeroflot Open Tournament 2009 in Moscow.

Other Azeri chess players Rauf Mammadov and Fidan Agasiyeva drew with Pavel Kotsur (Kazakstan) and Matfei Nikologorsky (Russia) respectively.
