Azeri IDP children`s photo exhibition opens in Hungary
Budapest, January 14 (AZERTAC). A photo exhibition by IDP (internally displaced person) children from Azerbaijan`s Nagorno Karabakh opened here on Thursday.
The exhibition culminated with the project implemented by the Hungarian Volunteer Sending Foundation.
Coming to Azerbaijan, volunteers from Hungary, France, the Netherlands and Poland gave cameras to children living in refugee camps and asked them to take photos and to write an essay on the topic “What is your wish?”
The essays were demonstrated at the exhibition in the Azerbaijani, English and Hungarian languages.
The aim of the project implemented with support of SOS Children`s Villages is to look at the lives and desires of Azerbaijani IDPs and refugees through the eyes of children.
Annamária Daróczi and Gábor Jeszenoi, Hungarian volunteers of the project shared their experiences on children in refugee camps in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
An essay by Azerbaijani IDP child, 11-year old Elgun was read in the Hungarian language in the event.
