AZERI MP HIGHLIGHTS NAGORNO KARABAKH CONFLICT AT DOHA FORUM
Baku, June 2 (AZERTAC). Member of the Azerbaijan Parliament Ganira Pashayeva has addressed the 10th Doha Forum, highlighting the consequences of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Pashayeva said Armenia, pursuing an aggressive policy against Azerbaijan, had occupied 20 percent of the country`s territories, driving more than one million Azerbaijanis out of their homelands. “This is an unprecedented case.”
Pashayeva pointed out Armenians had destructed educational and healthcare centers as well as historical and cultural monuments in the occupied territories.
She called on the international community “not to remain indifferent to these facts” and “to increase efforts towards finding a peaceful solution to the conflict”.
Pashayeva added the international organizations must exert pressure on Armenia to make it honor their relevant resolutions.
Other speakers at the event supported Azerbajian`s position on the problem. They also said international organizations must increase efforts to settle the dispute.
The event participants were handed over the Heydar Aliyev Foundation-prepared books featuring Armenian savageries committed in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, in particular the Khojaly genocide.
