AZERI TOP DIPLOMAT MEETS SPEAKER OF SAUDI ARABIA`s CONSULTATIVE ASSEMBLY
Baku, June 18 (AZERTAC). Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met Friday speaker of Saudi Arabia`s Consultative Assembly, Shura Council, Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh.
The sides praised the current level of relationship between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia. They said the two countries must use their potential effectively to develop bilateral cooperation even more.
Mammadyarov briefed the Saudi Arabian speaker on settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for supporting Azerbaijan`s just position on the issue.
The minister also underlined the necessity of increasing efforts towards expanding the existing legislative basis between the two countries.
The Saudi Arabian speaker, in turn, said his country was always ready to support Azerbaijan on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
He also underscored the necessity of upgrading bilateral economic cooperation to the level of political one.
The sides discussed other issues of mutual interest.
