BAKU TUMBLING CHAMPIONSHIP ENDS
All-rounds defined all winners, AZERTAG correspondent learnt from the press-service of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation. Abdulla Gasimov became a champion among masters of sports with 99,12 points garnered. In the men’s first grade competition, Nabi Mirzaliyev ranked first with 27,29 points while Narmina Minegulova took the first spot in the women’s first grade competition. Mikhail Malkin and Evelina Ibrahimova became the winners in the men’s and women’s second grade competitions respectively. Third-grade competitions were won by Elchin Alekberov (26,29 pts) and Nazila Geydarli (28,5 pts).
According to the press-service, Azerbaijan 12th rhythmic gymnastics championship and Baku Championship will this year’s final national competitions. The competitions, which will bring together 71 athletes, will be held December 7-9. Young gymnasts will be divided into three age groups (1990-93, 1994-95, 1996-97). The competitions will be followed by the gala-concert.
