“CASPIAN TELECOM-2006” INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE DUE TO TAKE PLACE IN TURKEY

The fifth Caspian international conference “Caspian Telecom-2006” and the fourth international exhibition “Telecommunication, Information and Computer Technology” will be held April 13 in Turkey. The events will bring together 600 representatives of over 25 countries.

Azerbaijan will be represented by department chief of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Ilham Mardanov, director of the International Relations and Counting Center Jalil Jafarov, director general of the Aztelecom production association Mahammad Mammadov and others.

The conference participants will discuss privatization of the telecommunication companies in the Caspian and Black Sea region, prospects of communications development and other issues. Besides, the seminars and “roundtable” meetings dealing with satellite, broadband and mobile communication in the CIS and Caspian region are also scheduled to be held
