‘CHINA UNANIMOUSLY SUPPORTS AZERBAIJAN`S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY’
Baku, May 17 (AZERTAC). Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov has met today Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi who made stopover in Baku.
The sides exchanged views on the current state of and prospects for relationship between Azerbaijan and China.
Minister Mammadyarov spoke of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, saying the problem must be settled on the basis of the norms and principles of international law, particularly on the Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
Chinese Minister Jiechi, in turn, said his country unanimously supports Azerbaijan`s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Mammadyarov thanked Chinese counterpart for the country`s position. He said Azerbaijan recognizes Taiwan as China`s integral part.
The sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
