COE OBSERVER MISSION TO VISIT AZERBAIJAN SHORTLY
Mission of the Council of Europe will arrive in Azerbaijan to observe by-elections to the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Republic to be conducted on 13 May.
The observation mission has undergone rearrangement, Samad Seyidov, chairman of the International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Links Standing Committee, head of the Azerbaijan delegation at PACE said. 'Now, Leo Platvoet will lead the mission, which will not include Andreas Gross and Andres Herkel', he stressed.
‘Irrespective of the staff of mission, Azerbaijan is keen in their objectivity’ Seyidov said.
The mission after the elections will prepare a preliminary report to submit to PACE. Results of by-elections will be considered at the June session of PACE.
