DELEGATION OF FEDERATION OF JEWISH COMMUNITIES OF CIS VISITS HEYDAR ALIYEV FOUNDATION
The guests familiarized themselves with the photos from the personal archive of the national leader.
The delegation met with Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Milli Majlis deputy. Mrs. Aliyeva stated the Foundation is primarily involved in studying and bringing genius person, founder of independent Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev's rich heritage to the next generations. Nevertheless, it implements the different educational, cultural, social and health projects and contributes to all-round development of Azerbaijan.
With Heydar Aliyev Foundation funding, 132 schools have been built last year and 100 more schools are expected to be built this year. The Foundation also cares about orphanages and people with thalassemia and diabetes.
Heydar Aliyev Foundation attaches a great importance to cooperation with the international, public and non-governmental organizations, including Jewish organizations.
Representatives of the Jewish organizations expressed their satisfaction with the rich culture, classical and modern musical art of the Azerbaijan people and highly appreciated Mehriban Aliyeva's fruitful activity as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, President of Friends of the Azerbaijan Culture Foundation and Gymnastics Federation.
