FIRST LADY OF TURKEY VISITS MUSEUM CENTER IN BAKU
Semra Sezer, the spouse of the Turkish President visited April 4 the Azerbaijan Museum Center. She viewed exhibits of the State Museum of Azerbaijani Carpet and People Applied Art named after Latif Karimov. Mrs. Sezer was informed here that the museum contains about one thousand pieces of the Azerbaijani carpet art of the 17th-20th centuries. The first lady said she was deeply impressed at the unique and brilliant folk art samples. Mrs. Sezer was presented a book “Azerbaijani carpet” by Director of the museum Roya Tagiyeva, and for her part, handed her own gift to the museum. She also had her keepsake photo taken with the staff of the museum.
