French scientist on work of Azerbaijani researcher
Baku, January 10 (AZERTAC). Last year the book “Nagorno Karabakh conflict: just peace or inevitable war: history, geopolitics and legal outlook” by Fazil Zeynalov, professor of the chair of international law of the Baku State University and the research worker at the Center of Strategic Research has been published in the “Diplomacy and Strategy” series of the L’Harmattan Publishing House. It has become the first book ever published in France that is based on unbiased studies into Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
The French media publishes numerous reviews about the book. One of them has been written by Mr. Bastien Alex, is a professional researcher at IRIS (Institut de Relations Internationale et Strategigues) in France.
According to the author, the book provides with detailed information about the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, activity of the mediators, in particular, the OSCE Minsk Group. He underlines that “the author focused on peace process and stressed the need for settling it on basis of mutual compromise and in line with principles and norms of international law which implies peace on basis of a common denominator while stepping aside the primary goals, set by the sides. This book can be assessed as an important contribution to the objective evaluation of the state, prediction of all possible scenarios of developments and search of just ways out in the future.”
The book also familiarizes its readers with the regional geopolitical environment, the interests of superpowers in the region and existing political processes and features their impact on the conflict settlement.
