INFORMATION RESOURCE COMPLEX OPENED IN AZERBAIJAN UNIVERSITY OF LANGUAGES

An Information resource complex was opened Friday in Azerbaijan University of Languages. The University`s rector, MP Samad Seyidov said the purpose of the Complex was to promote integration of Azerbaijan`s higher education institutions into Europe`s higher education system.

According to him, the resource will play a great role in developing the country`s education system.

Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov praised using ICTs in education. He described the complex`s opening as a new stage in development of education in the country.

Deputy Education Minister Elmar Gasimov said the complex would contribute to the process of informatization of science.

The complex was provided with high-tech facilities including more than 120 computers, a library, resource centers and innovation center.

Head of the Presidential Administration`s Department Novruz Mammadov, MPs, representatives of foreign ambassadors to the country were present at the event.
