IRNA News Agency hosts “roundtable” on restoration of Azerbaijan`s independence

Tehran, October 16 (AZERTAC). A “roundtable meeting” on the 20th anniversary of restoration of Azerbaijan`s independence was held in IRNA News Agency in Iran.

The meeting was attended by Azerbaijani ambassador to Iran Javanshir Akhundov, official of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Rza Kondori, professor of Tehran University Afshir Zargari and others.

The event participants exchanged views on national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in protection and strengthening of state independence of Azerbaijan, accomplishments achieved in the country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

They said though Azerbaijan faces Armenia`s aggression, the country was successfully going through the stage of comprehensive development.

The participants also praised the Azerbaijani leadership`s well-balanced foreign policy.
