KAZAKH INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS INTRODUCED TO AZERBAIJANI BUSINESSMEN
Meeting of Kazakhstani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov with Azerbaijani business leaders was organized by National Confederation of the Entrepreneurs/Employers of Azerbaijan on December 12 in Baku.
In his address to the meeting participants, the Ambassador dwelled on major projects implemented in Kazakhstan within the frames of "30 Corporate Leaders of Kazakhstan" Program. "The program includes realization of 45 big industrial and infrastructure projects. In 2009 it is planned to finish realization of 9 projects", Mr. Primbetov specified. As for development of Azerbaijani-Kazakhstani relations, the diplomat stated, that two countries should deepen economic cooperation in non-oil sector. According to the Ambassador, for the period of last five years external trade between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan steeply rose, amounting to $405 million in 2008.
Addressing the meeting, Vice-Mayor of Aktau Dmitri Klinchev underscored that giant housing estate in Kazakhstan has been recently constructed by Azerbaijani company Caspian Service. “We are highly estimating the outcomes and would be happy to involve Azerbaijani companies in construction of Aktau City complex project worth US$30 billion”, Dmitry Klinchev said.
Also "30 Corporate Leaders of Kazakhstan" Program was introduced at the meeting. The program encompasses several infrastructure projects, including installation of power line between North Kazakhstan and Aktubinsk Oblast, construction of the main road between Astana and Shuchinsk and foundation of Logistics and Pharmaceutics Center in Kazakhstan.
