Israel: Official preview video released
Baku, March 11 (AZERTAC). A month ago, IBA has announced that Izabo will represent Israel in the upcoming ESC with the song Time. Last week it was preformed for the first time, and tonight, IBA has presented the official clip during today`s newscast.
The whole clip was produced by IBA. The song was written by Ran Shem Tov & Shiri Hadar, two members of the band, and it will take part in the first semifinal of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. It will be sung in English and Hebrew.
Israel has won Europe`s Favourite TV Show on three occasions, in 1978 when Izhar Cohen and Alphabeta triumphed with A Ba Ni Bi. They did the back to back double on home soil in Jerusalem in 1979 when Milk and Honey were victorious with Hallelujah.
In 1998, Dana International collected Israel`s third trophy when she won a very closely fought contest with Diva. Last year, she returned to the Eurovision Song Contest but was unable to qualify from the Second Semi-Final with Ding Dong.
The IBA official website will also be screening a specially made documentary called The Other Face which followed Dana International during her time in Düsseldorf. This will be available on demand for those interested from tomorrow.
Israel will compete in the second half of the First Semi-Final of Europe`s Favourite TV Show on Tuesday 22nd May in Baku.
