New Azerbaijan Party delegation visits China

A delegation from Azerbaijan, comprising members of the country’s ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), arrived in China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
During the visit, the YAP delegation attended the opening ceremony of a seminar hosted by the Party School of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee.
The event highlighted the importance of cooperation between YAP and the CPC as part of the dynamic development of the multifaceted Azerbaijan-China relationship.
Addressing the event, Vugar Iskandarov, a member of the YAP Central Control and Auditing Commission and a member of the Youth and Sports Committee of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, said that thanks to the farsighted policy pursued by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping, relations between the two countries have been elevated to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership, while highlighting the crucial role of the ruling parties of both countries in this process.
He expressed confidence that the visit would contribute to the further enhancement of bilateral ties.
The Azerbaijani delegation also participated in seminars on Chinese culture, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the development of Shanghai’s Pudong district.
