Polish Ministry of Economy Piotr Wozniak who was about to complete his visit to Azerbaijan told AZERTAG correspondent that his country is keen on developing bilateral relations with Azerbaijan.

Polish Minister discussed the state of bilateral relations in the meetings with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh, Deputy Premier Abid Sharifov, Milli Majlis speaker Ogtay Asadov, Minister of Economic Development H. Babayev, Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev, President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic Rovnag Abdullayev. P. Wozniak stated Poland is keen on developing oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan.

Minister noted new composition of the Poland-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission will convene for the first meeting early spring in Warsaw. According to P. Wozniak, the $60 million trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Poland falls short of the two countries’ economic potential and there is a room for the further trade turnover increase.
