POSSIBILITY OF PUMPING KAZAKHSTANI OIL ALONG ODESSA-BRODY PIPELINE
Apart from that the Kazakhstani side obliged to consider the possibility of financing the project for the construction of the 52 km sector leading from the joint of the pipelines Odessa-Brody and Snegirovka-Augustovka to the Terminal Yuzhny, as well as the construction of the second berth to receive Caspian oil.
It is also said that by this October the countries will sign an intergovernmental agreement on the conditions for transporting Kazakhstani oil through the territory of Ukraine.
The oil pipeline Odessa-Brody was constructed in August 2001 and meant to transport Caspian oil through the territory of Poland and onward to the European market. It spans a distance of 674 km with an initial capacity of 14.5 million tonnes per year, with subsequent carrying capacity levels reaching 45.0 million tonnes per year.
