Dear President,

I was deeply grieved upon hearing the news on death of Your esteemed father.

Thanks to the wise and farseeing policy pursued by late Heydar Aliyev, today Azerbaijan is a country that demonstrates trust and stability in its foreign policy, marching on the path of economic development and social welfare and providing day by day its reliable position as an authoritative member of the international community. The death of Heydar Aliyev, the architect of the successful and balanced foreign policy of Azerbaijan, has deeply grieved our peoples that are connected with historical and cultural ties.

Heydar Aliyev’s efforts in achieving present level of the relations based on mutual and friendly cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan will be ever remembered.

To this end, I pray to Allay to rest his soul, and extend my deepest condolence to Your Excellency, Your natives and the people of Azerbaijan.
