It is with deep sorrow that I heard of the untimely passing away of your father, President Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev.
On behalf of the people of Israel and myself, I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy and sincere condolences to you, to your family and to the citizens of Azerbaijan.
In this time of mourning I am sure that you and your people can find comfort in knowledge that your father was one of the those rare leaders of our times who by their wise leadership, far reaching vision and determination, led their countries and people through war, nation building and many other difficulties, towards stability, economic development and a better future.
You father shaped the modern history of Azerbaijan and its presents. Heydar Aliyev will be remembered as the leader who brought Azerbaijan to where it is today - at the doorstep of many future opportunities. A strong, stable and economically prosperous country.
