PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJANHIS EXCELLENCY MR. ILHAM ALIYEV
I learned with deep sorrow of the death of Azerbaijan leader, unique statesman, Your father and my friend Heydar Aliyev.
Passing of Heydar Aliyev who had made a great contribution to enhance prestige of Azerbaijan in the international arena, development and strengthening friendly and brotherly ties between our countries, has caused deep sorrow of both peoples of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
I was my great honor and fortune to know personally Heydar Aliyev who due to his farsighted and talented guidance had ensured Azerbaijan’s development in all spheres and today’s prestige of the country.
Heydar Aliyev will always be remembered not only due to his efforts aimed and peace and prosperity in Azerbaijan but also due to his activities for transformation of the Caucasian region into the land of peace.
The joint projects launched due to the valuable contribution of Heydar Aliyev bringing our friendly and fraternal countries closer, have proved once again that relations between our countries were build on an inviolable basis.
Taking this opportunity I want to express confidence that our countries will further be side by side, and that our solid ties will be further developed under the leadership of Your Excellency and passed to the next generations.
May Allah bless the late Heydar Aliyev’s soul in peace.
