I sincerely mourn for the passing of Heydar Aliyevich Aliyev, the world-scale statesman, national leader who laid the foundation of the state independence of Azerbaijan and led his country to progress and prosperity. Heydar Aliyev is true National hero of his people. His name will be written in the world history forever. He was remarkable for his wisdom, adherence to principle and fine humane qualities. Having led Azerbaijan at the turn of epochs, he served his Homeland with honor even in its hardest times.
Please, accept dear Ilham Heydarovich, my deep condolences and allow me to with You worthily continue the cause of Your great father.
