Permit me to convey You my deepest condolence on death of Your father. I have met personally him in Baku three times. I was deeply impressed by his personality, breaking the silence internal strength and wisdom. Heydar Aliyev was a leader, in whom needed the nation in the critical period, in the moment of fight, at the time when should be adopted crucial decisions. I always compare him with my teacher, the late Premier and leader Isaac Rabin, who in the same age led Israel in the tragic period.
I am convinced that along with the sense of sorrow on his death, You will find in You strength to continue his heritage and in the restless period in the region, lead to the future the strong and independent Azerbaijan, as this foresaw Your father.
Now, when he is not among us, I wish You strength to lead Your country.
I share all the feeling that You, Your family and the people of Azerbaijan experience in these days.
