It is with great sorrow that I learnt of the death of your father and former President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Heydar Aliyev.
Words do not come easy in these moments which are extremely difficult for you personally, for your family and for the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan; however, please allow me, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, and on my personal behalf, to extend to you my deepest condolences.
We all knew Mr. Heydar Aliyev as a modern statesman of democratic orientation; a reformist who worked hard for the prosperity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and for the well being of its citizens, his personality and deeds will remain in our memories.
Please accept, distinguished Mr. President, my heartfelt sympathies and please be brave in supporting you great loss.
