ROMANIA HOSTS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
Baku, June 23 (AZERTAC). An international conference under the theme “Dialogue between East and West” has been held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the event was co-organized by Azerbaijan`s Institute of Oriental Studies, Romanian Institute of Turkish and Central-Asian Studies and Azeri Embassy in Bucharest.
The event brought together scientists, researchers, politicians and students from a number of countries.
Azerbaijan`s delegation included director of the Institute of Oriental Studies Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, and MPs Gultakin Hajibayli and Fazil Mustafa.
Hajibayli addressed the event to praise President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva`s “noble and humane activities”.
The conference participants agreed to hold the next meeting in Baku.
On the sidelines of the event, the Institute of Oriental Studies and the Romanian Institute of Turkish and Central-Asian Studies signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The memorandum envisages organizing reciprocal visits of scientists, conducting joint scientific researches, ensuring reciprocal access to archives and libraries, and arranging joint seminars, conferences and symposiums.
