RUSSIA MOURNS TOGETHER WITH AZERBAIJAN
AzerTaj correspondent reports from Moscow that phone calls from Russians and Azerbaijanis living in Russia already began to come to the Azerbaijan embassy overnight among whom representatives of RF state bodies, non-governmental organizations, certain persons rang up last night. People express their condolences and deeply mourn with the people of Azerbaijan saying that “decease of President Heydar Aliyev is an irreplacepable loss, father of nation passed away”. People also came to the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress to express their condolences and revere the memory of leader of Azerbaijan people.
On the occasion of with this sorrowful event, the State Flag was lowered to half-mast.
From the very early morning, people gathered at the embassy to take part in the mourning ceremony and revere the memory of great man who had left an invaluable trace in the history of Azerbaijan and the world as a whole. The governmental delegation of Russia and certain Russians who knew him personally are expected to come to make their farewell to the outstanding political leader. The representatives of Azerbaijani intelligentsia, All-Russian Azerbaijani congress are expected to arrive in Baku.
