Second edition of South Caucasus almanac launched
Baku, March 15 (AZERTAC). The presentation of the 2nd edition of Russian-language South Caucasus almanac has today been held in Baku.
Addressing the ceremony, the almanac`s editor in Azerbaijan Elchin Huseynbayli said the magazine highlights literature of Azerbaijani, Georgian, Armenian, Ossetian and Abkhaz people.
The publication of the almanac, part of the European Union`s “Dialogue and overcoming psychological barriers in South Caucasus” project, is funded by International Alert, a British NGO.
Speakers at the event revealed plans to launch the almanac`s English-language version.
The international presentation of the almanac is scheduled to be organized in London, this June.
The Almanac is aimed at stimulating a virtual dialogue between peoples of the South Caucasus through literature and culture, harnessing the unused potential of cultural figures and intellectuals in promoting tolerance and peace.
