Speaker of Azerbaijan`s parliament meets Turkish parliamentary delegation
Baku, January 19 (AZERTAC). Speaker of Azerbaijan`s parliament (Milli Majlis) Ogtay Asadov has today met with the Turkish parliamentary delegation led by head of Turkey-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group Necdet Unuvar.
Asadov pointed out that the Turkish parliamentarians` visit would contribute to deepening bilateral relations. He underlined the roles of the Heads of State for development of the strategic partnership ties. Azerbaijan-Turkey relationship is an example for the other states, he added.
Azerbaijani Speaker stressed the both communities are concerned about the discussions on so-called “Armenian genocide” in the French parliament. Azerbaijan backs Turkey in all issues. Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora Organizations have to strengthen their activity to undertake steps in this direction. The Azerbaijani parliament adopted four appeals related to the mentioned bill.
For his part, Unuvar expressed satisfaction with the meetings they held during the visit. He stated importance of the joint activity of two countries` Diaspora Organizations and hailed Azerbaijan`s position on the discussions on so-called “Armenian genocide” in the French parliament.
