Turkish delegates visit Nakhchivan State University
Baku, September 1 (AZERTAC). The delegation of the Anadolu and Ighdir Universities of Turkey visited the Nakhchivan State University (NSU).
The delegates visited national leader Heydar Aliyev’s monument in Nakhchivan.
Addressing the meeting, rector of the NSU Isa Habibbayli said that Azerbaijan-Turkey relations have ancient history.
The rector informed the delegates about the activities, structure and successes of the NSU during the last 45 years. It was mentioned that the NSU has close ties with nearly 70 universities of the world including Ankara, Ardahan, Van Centennial, Kocaeli, Gars Caucasus, Elazig, Arzincan universities of Turkey.
Stressing the importance of the cooperation with Ighdir and Anadolu universities, Habibbayli said that it was important to use the practice of these universities in distant education and in the field of information-communication technologies.
Rector of the Ighdir University Hakki Yilmaz, and rector of Ankara University Aydin Ziya Ozgur spoke about the significance of the strengthening relations, scientific and educational development.
Development of virtual relations, videoconference and symposiums and other matters were discussed at the meeting. Following the meeting the delegates became familiar with the Nakhchivan university, the Heydar Aliyev University, dormitory and the university campus.
