TURKISH PRESS WRITES WITH SORROW ON LOSS OF AZERBAIJAN PEOPLE
The article under the headline “Maestro of the Caucasus” was published in the “Hurriyet” newspaper on December 13. The article says Heydar Aliyev who came the symbol of Azerbaijan is recognized even by contenders as a “Maestro of the Caucasus”. Following Heydar Aliyev’s passing the path from leader of Azerbaijan Republic to Alternate member of Politburo of the USSR, the “second epoch of Aliyev” began in early 90s. Nerdun Haji, representative of “Hurriyet” newspaper, reminded that following 20 January events, Heydar Aliyev came to the paper’s Moscow bureau and gave an interview.
The other reputable newspaper “Vatan” has published an article “Azerbaijan weeps, we lost Aliyev”, “Aksham” - “He was a legend”, “Zaman” - “Azerbaijan lost father Aliyev”, “Jumhuriyyet” – “Architect of Baku-Ceyhan pipeline” and Posta – “Legendary leader”. These are the evidences of respect of fraternal and friendly Turkey to Heydar Aliyev.
The official TV channels such as TRT-1, TRT-2, TRT-Eurasia and private channels NTV, CNN-Turk, Samanyolu, TGRT, Channel D, Channel-8, ATV have aired the programs and documentaries on lifetime of Heydar Aliyev and his invaluable services for the sake of independence of Azerbaijan and people’s welfare.
