UK NATIONAL AUDIT OFFICE REP MEETS WITH MM COMMISSION MEMBERS
Chairman of the Commission Ziyad Samedzadeh updated J. Bourn on the ongoing economic reforms, high GDP growth rate in Azerbaijan as well as the economic laws enacted. Along with the Audit Chamber, according to Z. Samedzadeh, the commission exercises control over public expenditure in line with the law “On Budget System” and studies the experience of the UK National Audit Office.
Sir John Bourn said he considers his visit as a possibility to discuss some principles of the memorandum of understanding signed by the UK National Audit Office and Counting Chamber of Azerbaijan and outlook for development of bilateral relations.
Then, J. Bourn told of the work the UK National Audit Office does and cooperation with the parliament and government.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the other issues of mutual interest.
