UNIVERSITY OF JORDAN`s TWO STUDENTS RECEIVE HEYDAR ALIYEV SCHOLARSHIP
Baku, June 17 (AZERTAC). Two excellent students of the University of Jordan have received Heydar Aliyev scholarship, according to Azerbaijan`s embassy in Jordan.
Attending the event on the occasion, Azerbaijani ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasli spoke of the life and activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev. He said President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the national leader`s political course.
The ambassador said the national leader played great role in formation and strengthening of Azerbaijan`s statehood traditions.
Touching upon the relationship between Azerbaijan and Jordan, the diplomat noted President Ilham Aliyev and King Abdullah II had made great contributions to deepening and strengthening it.
He also recalled that President Ilham Aliyev, during his visit to Jordan in 2007, was awarded the University`s honorary doctorate title.
The ambassador presented the scholarships to the University`s second-year students Imad Dikka and Dua Suud.
The students thanked the Azerbaijan President and government for the scholarships.
Addressing the event, rector of the University Khaled Al-Karaki described the awarding as President Ilham Aliyev`s care for the institution.
