“WORLD PERSPECTIVE” TO INVEST IN AGRARIAN SECTOR OF AZERBAIJAN

At the meeting with the “World Perspective” Company’s consultant on agriculture Mr. Harold Handley, Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Irshad Aliyev updated the guest on the successful agrarian reforms and adopted laws in this field. The Minister mentioned that land reforms have been completed under the guidance of the President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. Azerbaijan is the region’s most developed country in the agriculture. The producers are exempted from all the taxes except for the land-tax. Now, 99% of agricultural production falls to the share of the private sector.

Mr. Harold Handley highly appreciated the agricultural success in Azerbaijan and noted that the primary purpose of the visit was the direct familiarization with the ways of the investors’ attraction.

Irshad Aliyev responded the guest’s question, associated with the conditions created for the executives and legal regulation of their activity, etc.
