Azerbaijani scientist joins New Economic Association of Russia
Sumgait, February 4 (AZERTAC). Scientist from Sumgait, doctoral candidate of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics Shafa Aliyev has recently become a member of the New Economic Association of Russia (NEA).
“The close scientific exchange and testing of results of scientific studies, in particular, between Azerbaijani and Russian economists is very important for integration into the world economic system,” Aliyev told AZERTAC correspondent.
Registered in January 2009, the Association brings together economists of different schools of thought, strengthens ties between Academy institutes, educational establishments and economic research centers. Its major goals are to improve the quality of economic research and education, integrate economic science and education, speed up the integration of Russian economic science in the global mainstream of economic research.
Key areas of the NEA`s activities are to publish the Journal of the New Economic Association, convene NEA Congresses (once every three years), organize topical conferences and roundtable discussions, create a Support Fund for Young Economists, participate in international associations and in international research projects, design and develop NEA websites and NEA Journal.
