Azerbaijan, Latvia share experiences in labour market and employment

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Latvian Ministry of Welfare, led by Imants Lipskis, Director of the Labour Market Policy Department, who is visiting Azerbaijan.
The visit aims to exchange experience in line with the Action Plan signed in March this year to implement the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two ministries.
During the meeting, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister Rashad Mustafayev highlighted the strong Azerbaijan-Latvia relations and opportunities to expand cooperation in labor and social protection. The meeting also focused on Azerbaijan’s labor reforms, digitalization, active employment programs, and vocational training.
The sides exchanged presentations on their respective labor markets, labor and employment initiatives, and new projects. They also discussed future cooperation in employment services and opportunities for Azerbaijani workers in Latvia’s labor market.
