Baku, August 24, AZERTAC
The Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum represented Azerbaijan at the 40th Annual Festival of Folk Arts, held in Budapest, for the second consecutive year.
As part of the festival, visitors took part in carpet-weaving and kelaghayi master classes, exploring traditional production techniques and learning about the meanings behind the distinctive patterns and colors of these crafts.
At the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum stand, visitors were presented with examples of Azerbaijan’s carpet-weaving and kelaghayi traditions, both recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, as well as books highlighting these cultural traditions.
The museum participated in the festival with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, and the Azerbaijan House in Hungary.
