Azerbaijan`s Goychay, Italy`s Valmontone become sister cities
Goychay, February 15 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Goychay and Italian Valmontone have signed a sister-city contract.
Prior to the ceremony, a delegation from Valmontone visited a monument to national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in Goychay.
They then visited the headquarters of Goychay Executive Authorities where they had a meeting Azeri MP, government officials and representatives of local authorities.
The delegation noted Valmontone was interested in cooperation with Goychay, especially in the agrarian sphere.
The Italian delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs, the Heydar Aliyev Center, historical and ethnographic museum, Biological Medicine Clinic, secondary school No 1, Olympic Sports Complex, AzNar and Goychay-Sud companies.
Valmontone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rome in the Italian region Lazio, located about 45 km southeast of Rome.”
