Ashgabat hosts horse beauty contest
Ashgabat, April 30 (AZERTAC). The 4th International Conference “Turkmen horse and horse breeding art in the world” and the International beauty contest of Akhal-Teke horses "the most beautiful horse of the year" was held in the International Equestrian Sports Complex of Ashgabat, capital of Turkmenistan. The organizer of the event is the Akhal-Teke Horse Association of Turkmenistan.
The event featured the creative contests on artistic embodiment of beauty of Akhalteke racers in the productions of fine, decorative and applied arts among the carpet-weavers, jewellers, artists and sculptors.
Representatives from more countries including Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, France, UK, Poland, USA, as well as Iran participated in the event.
Azerbaijan was represented at the event by Farhad Eminov, employee of the Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Agriculture, Salimkhan Gulaliyev, director of “Dilboz” horse farm, representative of the Equestrian Federation of Azerbaijan Republic Yagub Musayev and others.
President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov awarded “the most beautiful horse of the year” prize to a thoroughbred stallion called Khan of the Eagles, which beat the nine other finalists decked in traditional bridles by impressing the jury by showing "beautiful characteristics for the production of offspring."
The contest`s other winners were also presented valuable gifts.
