Azerbaijan implements project on rights of refugees and asylum-seekers
Baku, April 17 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan Young Lawyers Union realizes a project on “Local Integration of Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Azerbaijan” jointly with Women`s Council in Denmark. The project is supported by European Commission.
Meetings with local authorities, and round tables were held within the project. The refugees and asylum-seekers were provided with legal advice and informational support.
The overall objective of the action is to empower internally displaced children in Azerbaijan to make their concerns, opinions and desires in matters related to resettlement and return included in planning and implementation of the return and resettlement programmes of the Government of Azerbaijan.
