Azerbaijan, Lithuanian mull agriculture cooperation
Vilnius, April 18 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani ambassador to Lithuania Hasan Mammadzade met with the Lithuanian Minister of Agriculture Kazys Starkevicius. The meeting discussed bilateral relations as well as prospects for cooperation, particularly in the field of agriculture.
The two sides found the need for training of personnel in this field, expressing satisfaction with the annual growth of trade turnover and development of trade-economic ties between the two countries.
In his turn, the Lithuanian minister spoke of the forthcoming Agricultural, Food Processing and Packaging International Fair AGROBALT 2012, to be held in Kaunas, Lithuania on May. Mr. Starkevicius invited the Azerbaijani delegation to take part in it.
The Lithuanian Minister praised dynamic development of Azerbaijan’s economy in all fields.
The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation in many spheres,
Starkevicius said that he would be pleased to take part in the 28th FAO European Regional Conference (ERC) and the 37th session of the European Commission on Agriculture (ECA) due in Baku on April 16-20.
