Azerbaijan, Poland discuss prospects for energy cooperation

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov has met with President of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of PKN ORLEN of Poland Daniel Obajtek.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the activities of PKN ORLEN and the current cooperation with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for the supply of the crude oil.
CEO Daniel Obajtek expressed PKN ORLEN`s interest in wide cooperation with Azerbaijan in various areas.
Parviz Shahbazov highlighted increasing of Azerbaijan`s gas supply to Europe, partnership relations with the European Union on the transportation of "green energy" with new infrastructures, and the implemented renewable energy projects.
The minister highlighted prospective areas for cooperation with Polish companies, adding that Azerbaijan is ready to support the development of relations in the field of energy.
