Azerbaijan, Turkey discuss prospects for boosting customs cooperation
Baku, April 14 (AZERTAC). Chairman of Azerbaijan`s State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev has met a Turkish delegation led by the Customs and Commerce Ministry Undersecretary Ziya Altunyaldız to explore prospects for developing the cooperation among the two countries` customs authorities.
Aliyev pointed out that the expansion of relations with Turkey `is among key priorities in Azerbaijan`s foreign economic policy`.
He stressed national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in “building strong relations” between the two states.
Aliyev spoke of cooperation between the two countries` customs authorities, emphasizing the importance of experience exchange fight against drug trafficking.
Aliyev noted the importance of trade between Azerbaijan and Turkey, saying it is increasing year by year.
The Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Customs Committee also highlighted the country`s economic achievements under President Ilham Aliyev.
Altunyaldız thanked the Azerbaijani side for high-level organization of the Conference of Director Generals from World Customs Organization Europe Region.
He hailed Azerbaijan`s development.
Altunyaldız praised economic, political and cultural relations between the two countries.
He stressed the existence of wide opportunities to further increase the bilateral trade.
